Biography
Corey was born in Orlando to Hayley Walton. She raised him there for 5 years before moving to Daytona for 2 more. They then moved to Tampa and stayed for 3 more years before living in Miami. As a result of moving so much, he never had a chance to become good friends with anyone for too long. He became more and more reserved, to the point that he almost never opened up to others. He'd moved around so much, that he'd lost any sense of a "home".
One day, while on a cruise through the Gulf of Mexico, he met a strange man in a Hawaiian shirt that gave him a necklace. The man said, "Never lose this lucky shark tooth necklace, you'll need it soon." And with that, he disappeared. Corey has worn that necklace every single day since then, and almost never takes it off.
A few months later was swim team tryouts, and Corey was confident in making the team. Just as the tryouts were over, the Coach called him back for a word. Suddenly, the coach transformed into a dracanae, and tried to kill Corey. After taking a hard hit, Corey's necklace fell off and turned into a glowing bronze sword. Seeing that the monster was startled, Corey took the sword and beheaded the dracanae, watching it turn to dust.
He rushed to leave, only to find that his mother was waiting for him with a very short and hairy legged satyr. They explained to Corey all about Camp Half-Blood and demigods and monsters, and he semi-reluctantly agreed to stay at Camp Half-Blood year-round.
Now, 4 years later, Corey has never felt more at home.
