Guidelines for Character Creating

Guidelines for creating characters:

There are few things that your have to know before you create your own characters.

1. What are the characters created for?

- Characters are created to express your own imagination.

- Before joining any activities on the site, everyone has to create at least one character.

- After creating a profile for their own character in the “Character creating - Pending”, their characters will be pended by camp counselors and staffs to see if they are approved or not.

- If they are approved, they will find themselves in the “approved character” section as well as their own cabins.

- After that, members can join activities and contests held on the site.


2. How many characters can I create?

- Everyone can create at most 10 characters.



Rules:

1. All characters created must be ORIGINAL

-This means they are not supposed to be found in the PJO/HOTO books, i.e. no cannons


2. No Mary Sue/Gary Stu (overly perfect characters)

-No one is perfect. All characters have flaws. The profile of the character should be well-developed, realistic, not over-powered and original. But bear in mind that over-flawed charries aren't fun as well.

-No god-modding characters. Again, your characters are just half-bloods, not gods. They aren’t 100% perfect!


3. You are advised to create your character by filling the Profile provided.

-If you really wish to follow another format, just make sure that all the details required in the profile given are included.

-You will learn more about the criteria in Profile of Your Character


4. You are only allowed to create demigods, legacies and huntresses of Artemis.

- No gods, goddesses, titans, and so on is allowed.
- Legacies are only allowed in Camp Jupiter but not Camp Half-Blood
- Legacies can only be related to one god parent

5. Keep your character's background, characteristics, abilities, and stories realistic.



List of FORBIDDEN god/goddess parent

1. Virgin Goddesses

- Hestia

- Chaos

- Artemis (Huntress of Artemis is allowed, but not children of Artemis!)


2. All the Roman equivalent gods/goddesses of above


*3. The Big Three (Zeus, Poseidon and Hades)/ Titans/ Primordial Deities

I too am new but have figured out some of the character creation things so here are a few links that might help you.

If you wish to create a Roman character, post the character's profile on Character Creating for Camp Jupiter: Pending

As I just made my first character today, I suggest you should definitely look at both the rules and the template. They are a great help!

Once done, you will need to wait for one of the admins of the site to approve your character. Once approved, you are then able to roleplay and do other things on the site, as well as add the character to your signature

And you can check in your PM box(private messaging) the Survival Guide Its in the middle of 'Groups' and the 'Log out'... Have fun creating your character!
