Writing Contest!

1. Since it's nearing Halloween, after discussion with the Zeus and Athena Cabin, we decided to hold a writing contest.
   
   Topic: Write a short story about life in Camp and Halloween. It is a challenge, since both don't have any connection. Oh, well.
   
   1) It has to be your own original work. No plagarism allowed.
   
   2) It has to follow the topic listed above.
   
   3) Try using the best grammar you can. It's OK if you make mistakes, just make sure people can understand what you mean. Here's some advice: If you have accurate grammar, people will subconsciously like your story better.
   
   4) No cursing allowed in your story, excluding, "Styx," or "What in the Hades?", or things along those lines without any curse words. Your characters can curse. Just write, "[Character] cursed/cussed/swore [in Ancient Greek/Latin]." Something like that. No, "What the [F-word]!" or, "Son of a [B-word/ [opposite gender of male] dog]!". Sure, the youngest camper, for now, is thirteen, but there will be younger ones.
   
   5) No sexual themes allowed. That's just...eww. Romance is allowed, just don't make things too detailed or lovey-dovey. From a scale from 1-10, 1 being no romance at all and 10 being [sexual theme], 8 is the maximum lovey-doveyness allowed.
   
   6) There is no limit in words and characters, but the maximum of 4 characters and 1,600 words is preferred. Remember, it's just a short story. Not that I'm comfortable with limits either.
   
   7) It can be in any POV.
   

Each character can post at most 2 entries, which means if you have 3 characters, you can submit 6 entries, at maximum.

1. It'll be recorded in the column of "Honors" in the awardee's profile - which will be useful for the applying Camp Counseors/Praetor or Cabin Couselors/Centurions.

3. Points (for the award " Biggest Winners of the Year")
   -Champion: 5

People will vote for the story they like best for 2 weeks. They can vote twice only. Then, we will have one day to count up the votes and decide the winner and the 1st and 2nd runner-up. We will announce the crowned victors (sorry, sounds like Hunger Games) that day, and the next day, Happy Halloween!
